Google Play is rolling out an update to make it easier than ever to get rid of apps you never use.
As Android Policereports, the new layout to "My apps & games" is giving users more organizational controls. Now you can view your apps by ones that have pending updates, all the apps installed, everything in your library (i.e. all the apps you've ever installed, on any device), and beta versions of apps.

Now, when you look at the Installed tab, you can organize by name, size, last updated, and -- boom -- last used. That last tool let's you specifically target apps you haven't tapped on in months or years.

The update appears to be rolling out gradually; users around the world have been noticing the update this week. If you have the latest version of Google Play, refreshing the app and clearing app data may install the update for you.
One downside to the new layout, according to the report, is that it's no longer possible to batch install apps from the Library. Is it worth trading that for the ability to purge ancient and unused apps? Google seems to think so.
